This year Nokia Foundation celebrated it’s 30 years anniversary in the annual Awards Ceremony that was organized 26 November in Pikku-Finlandia Helsinki. Highlights of the event included Nokia keynote speech by Patrik Hammaren President of the Nokia Technology Standards and granting of 2025 Nokia Foundation recognition award to Professor Minna Palmroth for her pioneering work in the field of space sciences that has contributed to establishing Finland as a leading country in the field. This year the Nokia Foundation granted in collaboration with the OKKA Foundation a new award for recognizing the excellence in ICT education. The receiver of the first Educational Recognition Award in ICT was Dr. Arto Hellas for his significant contributions to reforming ICT education and to developing new courses and digital learning platforms.
